I love gathering as a team to try new things, celebrate milestones and learn from one another. The opportunities to connect with colleagues and engage in fun experiences with each other brings a sense of camaraderie. Besides catered meals, we also support local cafes and restaurants with open tabs that encourage employees to take a break outside the office, mingle with coworkers and choose their own meals.

Overall, the best part about being in the office is spending time with the people I work with, they're awesome!

The newly renovated office has a whole new vibe. It's a unique blend of classic DoubleDown with a sleek and biophilic design. A great deal of thought and care was put into this project.

I've had the incredible opportunity to work across multiple teams at DoubleDown — including customer support, marketing engagement and growth marketing. Throughout these roles, I've been recognized as a top performer for consistently delivering high-quality work, proactively supporting initiatives beyond my core responsibilities and making a lasting impact.

In addition to contributing to the company's goals, I like to believe that my work has also helped foster a fun, collaborative and positive team environment.

DoubleDown truly offers a fantastic range of opportunities to celebrate achievements at all levels. While on the customer support team, positive player feedback was regularly shared via Slack, and seeing comments from players I had helped — alongside those supported by teammates — always put a smile on my face.

During my time on the marketing engagement team, I collaborated closely with engineering to conceptualize and test a new tool that streamlined the production of promotional offers. This project was a true labor of love, and it was incredibly rewarding to have efforts publicly recognized with a 'Big Win' award at a companywide meeting.

On the growth marketing team, I've been honored with 'Game Changer' awards — more private recognitions where managers and peers highlighted my impact on user acquisition and retention strategies, team support and my contributions to cross-functional collaboration. Each award included a personal message from the nominator, which made the recognition especially meaningful.

In addition, the company's 'High Five' Slack channel provides a fun and supportive space for colleagues to give each other shoutouts and express appreciation in real time.

Receiving these recognitions made me feel truly seen and appreciated for the effort and passion I bring to my work. It's incredibly motivating to know that contributions — both big and small — are valued. I also love having the opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary work of my colleagues.

I'm especially grateful to our HR and experience teams for fostering a culture where employees can uplift one another and where wins of all sizes are acknowledged and celebrated.

We value our employees' mental health, understanding it's an integral piece of their overall well-being. Mental health impacts not only our workplace culture and employee collaboration but also team members' physical health, home life and self-worth.

Having easy access to support is a high priority for us at DoubleDown.

In addition to our medical benefits, which provide in-person and virtual coverage, we invest in a standalone employee assistance program, SupportLinc. SupportLinc is a free, confidential service available to all employees and their households, regardless of their medical benefit coverage.

This is vital because if a partner or child is in need of support, they can get it. What's going on in someone's home life has a huge impact on how they are doing in all other areas of life. SupportLinc offers five free counseling sessions per issue and pairs employees — when possible — with therapists and counselors who are in-network so they may continue the work.

We also love their text counseling options, meditation tools and toolkits. For example, right now, they are featuring a Holiday Toolkit to help people navigate a potentially stressful season. We just really appreciate that this program is here when people need it most.

Our managers receive training for communication and dealing with different working styles, coaching, navigating change and respectful workplace behavior. They tend to respect and uphold a good work-life balance as well as create open and trusting relationships with their employees.

One of our core values is "Inclusive," which we are always striving to be with our programming and training. We encourage our managers to empower employees to show up as their authentic selves, which goes a long way toward creating an environment where people are comfortable sharing and supporting each other.
