Editorial Policy

Our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and integrity. How we fact-check, our responsible use of AI, and how we preserve editorial independence across all of our content.

Our Editorial Commitment

Every article here is written, edited, and approved by at least one person before it's posted. No uploading of AI-written articles that haven't been reviewed.

Facts, stats, and claims are double-checked with original sources prior to publication.

Plagiarism is unacceptable here. All content is original and appropriately links to external sources.

Our editorial content is not influenced by our advertising, partnerships, or sponsors.

Fact Verification and Accuracy

Accuracy is what we build our reputation upon. Every article, insight, or guide on our Crypto Academy goes through a rigorous fact-checking process.

1

Primary Source Verification

All statistical data, market information, protocol specifics, and regulatory information are checked against official sources. These include but are not limited to project websites, on-chain metrics, regulatory filings, and announcements.

2

Multi-Source Cross-Referencing

Important assertions are supported by at least two independent sources. When we can’t verify a fact independently, we leave it out or explain that we can’t verify it.

3

Data Accuracy Checks

Market numbers, percentages, token values, and historical information are cross-referenced with live markets and verified sources.

4

Technical Review

Articles that include content related to blockchain protocols, smart contracts, or technical concepts are checked for technical accuracy by qualified team members.

5

Currency of Information

We attempt to ensure that all data, statutes, and project statuses mentioned are up-to-date at the time of publication. Publication dates are provided on all articles for reader convenience.

When it comes to our news aggregation, we pull from over 50 trusted and approved crypto outlets listed on our sources page. These are chosen based on historical accuracy, editorial guidelines, and journalistic practices. We don't aggregate from shady blogs or promotional sites.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Transparency is important to us. AI is one of many tools we use to aid our editorial process. It does not replace human judgment, expertise, or editorial control.

How We Use AI

  • Writing assistance: AI aids us in collecting, organizing, and corroborating information from various sources when researching articles.

  • Data analysis: We use AI to analyze market data to identify patterns and pull forward statistics used to support our reporting and analysis.

  • Draft assistance: AI can be used to generate first drafts that are then heavily edited, fact-checked, and rewritten by our team.

  • Quality checks: AI-powered tools help detect potential issues in grammar, readability, and content structure.

What AI Does Not Do

  • Publish autonomously. Every article passes through human editorial review, fact-checking, and approval before publication.

  • Make editorial decisions. Topic selection, angle, coverage priorities, and editorial judgment are entirely human-driven.

  • Replace source verification. All information and assertions discovered through AI are double-checked by editors with primary sources.

  • Opine or analyze. Market commentary, editorials, and conclusions are derived from our team of human editors and contributors.

Quick summary: We use AI to work smarter. Every piece of content we produce is reviewed, verified, and approved by a human editor. We do not publish AI output verbatim as editorial content.

Plagiarism Prevention

Original work is mandatory. We have a zero tolerance policy on plagiarism. We prevent plagiarism in all of our work.

  • Original content: All content on the Crypto Academy, including articles, guides, and analysis, is original. We do not take articles from other publications and repackage them in any way.
  • Attribution of sources: If we use data, research, or reporting from outside sources, we make clear where it came from. If we quote someone verbatim, we attribute the quote to them.
  • Plagiarism check: Articles are scanned for plagiarism before publication to prevent uploading of duplicate published articles.
  • Guest posting guidelines: We hold guest posters to the same standards of originality. We screen posts for plagiarism prior to publication.

When posting news articles for our aggregator service, we differentiate between what is written by us and what comes from another site. Anytime we aggregate news, we link back to the original publisher and credit the source publication.

Editorial Independence

Editorial independence from our business team is one of our core values.

  • No pay-for-coverage: We will not accept payment for editorial coverage of cryptocurrency-related projects, companies, or products. All coverage is determined by news value and editorial discretion.
  • Advertise with us: Our advertisers and sponsors do not determine our editorial content. Advertising is not used to influence editorial content decisions.
  • Sponsored content labeling: Sponsored content is always clearly labeled and visually differentiated from editorial content. Readers should never question if content is independently sourced or sponsored.
  • No press releases as editorial: We never post press releases or marketing content as editorial. If we write about a project, it's because we feel it is useful and newsworthy.

Our website is ad-supported and completely free to use. We allow advertising that is focused on cryptocurrency. This way we can ensure our content is free for everyone to read and that we can remain objective in our coverage. Our advertisers pay us to be here, they don't tell us what to write.

  • Our content is for informational and educational purposes only. We do not provide investment recommendations or advice on trading decisions.
  • Market data and prices are shown for informational purposes only.

News Aggregation Standards

Our news feed features articles by outside publishers. Here are our standards.

  • About our sources: We curate from over 50 prominent crypto news outlets. We chose these sites for their editorial quality, accuracy, and journalistic integrity. See our full sources page.
  • Transparent attribution: All aggregated content links directly back to where it was first published. Each article includes the source site name, date of original publication, and a link to the original article.
  • Unchanged content: We do not edit or rewrite headlines or stories from external sources.
  • Publisher diversity: Diversity of publishers ensures we offer a balanced market perspective and are not overly reliant on any one provider.
  • Quality filtering: We only index publications that publish fact-based reporting and analysis, not promotional websites, press releases, or paid placements.

Guest Contributions

The Crypto Academy accepts guest posts and research from experienced writers. Guest posts go through the same editorial process as our in-house articles.

  • Guest submissions are reviewed for accuracy, originality, and quality before publication.
  • Contributors must disclose any relevant affiliations or conflicts of interest related to their topic.
  • Published guest articles are credited to the author and listed on our authors page.
  • Submissions may be edited for clarity or accuracy.
  • We do not publish promotional guest posts or pieces where the author is secretly marketing their own blog, company, or project.

If you would like to submit a guest post, send us an email at admin@cryptonewsnavigator.com including your topic idea, a short summary, and any writing samples. Or use our contact form.
