GRN serves multiple functions within the GRID Blockchain ecosystem. It is used to pay for transaction fees, participate in on-chain governance, and provide liquidity on EXNode, the integrated decentralized exchange. Additionally, GRN supports sustainable initiatives by enabling investments in green projects and the generation of carbon credits through the Green Legacy Initiative's tree-planting programme. Although 'G' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the GRN Grid Token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'GRN' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
