It supports a sharing economy model, offering connectivity services through community-driven infrastructure. Built on the Cardano blockchain, WMTx incentivises network participation, funds operations, and ensures sustainability. By addressing the affordability and efficiency challenges of traditional telecommunications, the token aims to bridge the global digital divide.
World Mobile Token (WMTx) serves several purposes in the World Mobile Chain ecosystem:
- Transaction Fees: WMTx is used to pay transaction fees within the network, enabling services such as internet access, call routing, and message delivery.
- Node Rewards: Node operators (Earth, Air, and Aether Nodes) receive WMTx as rewards for providing connectivity, maintaining network quality, and executing blockchain operations.
- Staking and Delegation: Token holders can stake WMTx or delegate it to node operators, earning a share of transaction fees and inflation rewards.
- Incentivising Network Expansion: The token incentivises the deployment of nodes in underserved areas, helping bridge the digital divide.
