Lode

LODE is used in the protocol’s buyback and burn process. When the protocol receives its share of captured premiums, those proceeds can be used to buy LODE on the market and send the purchased tokens to a burn address.

LODE is also used for builder staking. Builders must lock LODE to deploy Lode-enabled pools and can receive part of the premium captured by those pools. This links builder participation to the token and creates an economic requirement for launching pools through the protocol.

LODE may also be used in future emissions and community programmes, subject to governance controls. These emissions are intended to support protocol growth, incentives and community participation.
