Dark Energy Crystals (DARKEN) Price, Charts & Market Data

There are two ways to obtain Dark Energy Crystals through the game. First, you can convert unused cards in your collection into Dark Energy Crystals by checking the box next to the cards you want to convert and clicking on the Dark Energy Crystal icon. Higher level cards will convert to more DEC than lower level cards, as will higher rarity cards, and gold foil cards will convert to significantly more DEC than the regular versions. There is also a bonus for Alpha and Promo edition cards. The second way to obtain Dark Energy Crystals is by winning Ranked battles. Each player will earn a portion of the current DEC reward pool for each ranked battle win in proportion to their rating. Players with a higher rating will earn significantly more DEC for each win than players with a lower rating. The amount of DEC earned from each win also depends on the player's current Energy Capture Rate (ECR). More on that below. The use of Alpha edition or Gold Foil cards in battle also provides a bonus to the amount of DEC awarded. Dark Energy Crystals can be used to purchase Booster packs and a variety of in-game items in the shop or to buy cards from other players on the Splinterlands market. The uses for Dark Energy Crystals will continue to increase over time as new features are added to the game.

Dark Energy Crystals may also be bought, sold, and transferred amongst players and are available for exchange on various third-party platforms. You can click on your DEC balance at the top right of the screen to transfer them out to an external platform or to transfer them back into the game. Splinterlands is unaffiliated with any third party exchange, and is not responsible for any issues or loss of tokens that may arise from any third party platforms.

Although 'DEC' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Dark Energy Crystals Token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'DARKEN' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
