About 0G

0G (0G) is the native asset of the 0G Network, a modular AI infrastructure bringing storage, compute, data availability and an EVM L1 on-chain. The token is used to stake validators, fund storage endowments rewarded via Proof of Random Access, pay for AI compute on a pay-as-you-go basis, and cover DA fees. Components can be adopted independently across EVM and non-EVM stacks. The project is led by founders Michael Heinrich, Ming Wu, Fan Long and Thomas Yao, whose backgrounds span AI systems, security, research and venture.
  • Staking & validation: Validators stake 0G to participate in consensus across one or more networks and earn block and fee rewards. - Storage payments & incentives: Users fund storage with 0G; storage nodes earn over time by proving data accessibility (e.g., via Proof of Random Access). - Compute fees: Pay-as-you-go inference, fine-tuning or training is paid in 0G, with settlement handled by smart contracts. - Data availability fees: Projects use 0G to pay for data availability guarantees for rollups and other high-throughput use cases.

0G was founded by a team of builders, researchers and strategists with backgrounds in blockchain, AI, systems engineering and venture:

  • Michael Heinrich – Co-Founder & CEO Background spanning software development, technical product management and business strategy. Previously scaled a Web2 company to significant size, bringing operational leadership to 0G.

  • Ming Wu – Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Extensive R&D experience from Microsoft Research Asia focused on distributed systems, storage, computation and AI platforms. Leads the technical foundation of 0G.

  • Fan Long – Co-Founder & Chief Strategy & Security Officer (CSSO) Academic research in system security and blockchain combined with entrepreneurial experience. Guides strategy and security for the network.

  • Thomas Yao – Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer (CBO) Background in physics, self-driving technology and venture capital, including early blockchain investments. Oversees business strategy, partnerships and growth.
