We hire remote, flexible and required-in-office personas throughout the organization. Simply put, if you live within 30 miles of a ServiceNow office, you are expected to work in the office at least twice a week. People who live more than 30 miles from a ServiceNow office may be eligible for remote consideration.

We often offer remote opportunities for go-to-market sales and technical roles. Some exceptions include our entry-level sales development rep roles, where we require cohorts to work onsite for individual and team development as they learn and grow. Being close to our customers is essential for in-person connections, so our field sales resources often reside within a specific territory.

We hire for three personas, depending on the nature of the employee's work: flexible, required in the office and remote.

Employees who live within 30 miles of a ServiceNow office are assigned to the flexible persona, meaning they work in the office two or more days a week. This aims to promote work-life balance by creating greater flexibility in accommodating employees' diverse personal needs, while still fostering in-person collaboration, creativity and innovation as people can come together to brainstorm, collaborate and build relationships.

As we continue to hire the best technical and customer-facing talent in the industry, remote roles enable us to remain competitive and access a much larger, diverse, and highly skilled talent pool. To best serve the needs of our customers where they're at and give them an elevated level of service, many of our customer-facing roles are remote.

A small portion of our people are required to be in the office five days a week, based on business needs.

We've built a culture centered around our People Pact, which is our commitment to each other to live our best lives; do our best work, and fulfill our purpose together. Our people leaders prioritize engagement and are intentional about creating opportunities for their teams to come together, both in person and virtually.

For example, engineering leaders create quarterly engagement events, such as Virtual Olympics, global hackathons where employees come together from different regions to participate and photo challenges. There are also plenty of learning and development opportunities and knowledge-sharing amongst teams.

Our quarterly town hall meetings engage, inform and celebrate employees. We honor various individuals and teams for their accomplishments through internal awards and spotlight videos. Our engineering organization creates an inclusive and engaging onboarding experience for all hires, ensuring remote employees feel included, supported and connected.

One of my favorite aspects of working at ServiceNow is the opportunity for growth. As an early-career software engineer, I seek hands-on experience to develop my skills. I have been able to showcase my strengths through various projects in full-stack development.

There are many processes, tools, and tasks to learn from and numerous opportunities to showcase your work, such as leading a project to completion. The supportive and inclusive environment at ServiceNow has enabled me to thrive and grow, making it the perfect place to build a fulfilling career.

I believe "dynamic" would best describe our company culture. In a rapidly evolving industry that is enabling the creation of next-generation electronics across healthcare, IoT, space, communication and more, we are constantly optimizing our efforts to develop new solutions, improve processes and proactively address our customers' needs.

For example, when I first joined Altium, we were launching the industry's first open cloud platform for collaborative PCB (printed circuit board) design. The launch required the team to rapidly adapt and embrace new ways of educating our customers about this platform and ensuring successful adoption.

We worked together by combining the team's skills, intelligence, creativity and motivation to solve challenges along the way. Another example of Altium's dynamic culture is the recent launch of our professional services team within customer success. As Altium scales its enterprise capabilities to best serve our customers, our colleagues have risen to the challenge, creating an entirely new team with the agility, technical knowledge and solutions-driven mindset that is required.

We pivot quickly while maintaining camaraderie and a vibrant team spirit.

I've been with Altium for five years. I joined in 2020 as a customer success manager, where I contributed to the launch and global adoption of our highly anticipated Altium 365 cloud platform. When I first started, I had no PCB experience but took the initiative to complete our training modules and learn everything I could about the industry, company and platform.

I was soon able to seamlessly educate and support our customers from knowing nothing about the Altium 365 platform to fully adopting it. Recently, when I saw we were establishing a new team within professional services, I knew this experience had prepared me to take on this next growth opportunity.

As the director of professional services, solution architecture, I am now building out our solution architecture services from the ground up. What's exciting about this role is not only do we anticipate scaling my global solution architecture team of four to 15-20 people, we get to shape what solution architecture looks like at Altium.

Current initiatives include redesigning the developer experience through a multi-agent orchestration system that could compress project setup from weeks to hours and cut onboarding from months to near-instant provisioning — saving millions of engineering hours at scale.

We are also co-innovating voice-driven agents to transform employee support for large, distributed workforces and designing intelligent service models aimed at automatically resolving the majority of inbound requests, reducing resolution cycles from days to under one. These co-innovation examples demonstrate how we turn bold aspirations into strategic bets that deliver measurable impact, helping industries reimagine how work gets done and fully aligning with our mission to make work better at scale.
