About ZEDX Сoin
ZEDX Coin (ZEDX) is the native token of the ZEDXION blockchain, an EVM-compatible platform designed for payments and decentralized finance (DeFi). It operates on a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, allowing staking, governance, and low-cost transactions. Validators secure the network by staking a minimum of 10,000 ZEDX, while delegators can earn rewards by staking with them. The ZEDXION Foundation oversees early development, while governance is transitioning to the community through validators and the ZEDXION Assembly. ZEDX differs from ZEDXION, which is the exchange-oriented version of the token used within the Zedxion exchange.
ZEDX serves multiple functions within the ZEDXION blockchain, including: - Transaction fees: Similar to ETH on Ethereum, ZEDX is required to pay for transaction fees on the ZEDXION network. - Staking and Validation: Users can stake ZEDX to become validators and secure the network. The minimum staking requirement to run a validator node is 10,000 ZEDX. - Governance: Validators vote on network improvement proposals using their staked ZEDX tokens, influencing the blockchain's future. - Delegation: ZEDX holders who do not want to operate validator nodes can delegate their tokens to validators and earn a share of the network rewards. The minimum delegation fee is 15%. - Payments: As the native asset of the blockchain, ZEDX transactions are fast and efficient, without requiring interaction with smart contracts. - Rewards and Liquidity: The ZEDXION Foundation uses ZEDX to incentivize network participation, provide validator rewards, and promote liquidity in decentralized exchanges (DEXs).
ZEDXION is a public EVM-compatible blockchain, meaning any smart contract designed for Ethereum can also be deployed and executed on it. The network is designed to be fast and cost-efficient, with an average block time of 5 seconds and transaction fees below $0.01. ZEDXION operates on a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, ensuring energy efficiency and security. Initially, the network used the Authority Round (AuRa) model, but at block 100, it transitioned to a more decentralized PoS model. The blockchain supports up to 120 native token transfers per second and 60 transactions for ZED-20 tokens.
The governance of the ZEDXION blockchain is managed by three key entities: 1. Validators: These participants secure the network, validate transactions, and vote on improvement proposals that shape the blockchain’s future. 2. ZEDXION Foundation: This organization oversees the network’s early infrastructure, facilitates adoption, and maintains critical development tools. 3. ZEDXION Assembly: Composed of active community members, this body is responsible for managing community funds and supporting ecosystem growth.
The ZEDXION blockchain and its token ZEDX were launched in 2019 by a team previously involved in the Colu project, which aimed to bring local currencies to blockchain technology. The ZEDXION Foundation, a Gibraltar-based company, currently oversees the development and maintenance of the network, while governance is gradually transitioning to the community.
Although ZEDX and ZEDXION represent the same economic asset, they have distinct roles within the ecosystem: - ZEDX is the native token of the ZEDXION blockchain, essential for transaction fees, staking, and governance.
