Skate Overview
Skate is an application layer that lets users interact from their home chain while applications keep a single global state across multiple VMs (EVM, SolanaVM, TonVM). A hub chain (the Kernel) holds core logic and state; Periphery contracts on connected chains execute local actions. Intents signed by users are fulfilled by a registered network of executors and verified by an Actively Validated Service built on EigenLayer. The design enables “stateless” apps such as an AMM targeting one price and shared liquidity across chains. SKATE is the native token of the network. Its roles include governance over protocol parameters and roadmap, economic incentives for reliable execution and participation (including rewards and penalties) and programmes that support ecosystem growth and application adoption. Skate was co-founded by Siddharth Lalwani (CEO) and Tony Sun (COO), who previously founded Range Protocol, from which Skate evolved.
