About Rhea
Rhea (RHEA) is the core token of Rhea Finance, a NEAR-based DeFi platform created from the merger of Ref Finance and Burrow Finance. Rhea unifies DEX trading, liquidity provision, lending, borrowing and margin in one protocol, with chain-abstraction to serve NEAR, BTC and EVM assets. The system uses RHEA, xRHEA and oRHEA: RHEA as the primary token, xRHEA for staked utility and in-ecosystem gas, and oRHEA as reward units convertible to RHEA based on reputation. Features include permissionless pools, stable/degen/DCL pools, smart routing, LP-as-collateral, a money market with dynamic risk curves, boost farming and cross-services such as an Aggregator Bridge, Satoshi DeFi and strategy vaults. REF and BRRR can be migrated to RHEA.
- Governance and alignment: RHEA aligns participants with protocol incentives; xRHEA extends utility and can participate in lending as collateral.
- DEX access: Automated Market Maker (AMM) with permissionless pool creation, pool-level fees, slippage controls, “swap by output” and multi-pool chain swaps. Stable, degen and discretised concentrated liquidity (DCL) pools aim to improve price execution and TVL efficiency. Smart routing selects pool paths for best output.
- Lending & margin: Over-collateralised money market with asset-specific risk parameters, dynamic interest curves, open liquidations and flexible incentives. Margin trading (up to 3x) is built on the shared lending pool and DEX.
- LP as collateral: LP tokens can be used as collateral without interrupting farm incentives.
- Incentives: Boost Farming supports multi-token rewards, LP-token seeding and boost tokens with lockups.
- Cross-services: Aggregator Bridge unifies access to multiple bridge providers; Satoshi DeFi brings native-wallet BTC users into NEAR DeFi; Apollo Pool offers single-asset strategy vaults; Vault by Shade Agent provides AI-driven vault recommendations with notifications.
Rhea was formed by the teams and communities behind Ref Finance and Burrow Finance within the NEAR ecosystem. The project is positioned as a unified successor to those protocols, with a DAO-based governance model to be revealed following token generation.
