Play Solana

Play Solana (PLAY) is a Solana-based utility and governance token that underpins the Play Solana ecosystem. PLAY is designed to operate as the core economic unit across Play Solana’s integrated gaming platform, which includes hardware, games, identity systems and on-chain services. The token links player activity, platform usage and governance within a single on-chain economy built on Solana.

PLAY is issued as part of the Play Solana SuperHUB, a vertically integrated framework that combines a handheld gaming device (PSG1), a curated game launcher, on-chain identity and embedded DeFi functionality. Within this structure, PLAY functions as the connective layer that records participation and enables economic coordination between players, developers and the platform.

PLAY has three primary functions within the Play Solana ecosystem:

• Ecosystem currency: PLAY is used to pay for goods and services across the platform, including hardware purchases, in-game items, upgrades, subscriptions and access to platform or developer tools.

• Rewards and progression: Player activity generates experience points (XP) through gameplay, quests and platform participation. XP converts into PLAY at the end of each season, forming the main reward and progression mechanism. Some incentives and seasonal distributions may also be paid directly in PLAY.

• Governance: PLAY holders can participate in governance decisions that influence the direction of the ecosystem. These decisions include the allocation of ecosystem grants, seasonal reward structures, game curation and partner onboarding.

The token is designed to circulate between players, creators and the platform, with defined inflows and outflows intended to support ongoing economic activity within the SuperHUB.

Play Solana (PLAY) was created by the Play Solana team, a group of developers and engineers building a gaming-focused ecosystem on Solana. The project is led by Jorge Vidal (CEO), with technical development overseen by Sandro Pinto (CTO) and operations led by Vítor Ribeiro (COO). The team combines experience in hardware security, software development and the Solana ecosystem.

The PLAY token was introduced as part of the broader Play Solana platform to support its economic model and governance structure.
