Somnium Space CUBEs (CUBE) is the native currency of the Somnium Space VR metaverse. Built as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum with Polygon integration, CUBEs enable users to buy virtual land, trade NFTs, and engage in vr-commerce. The token facilitates seamless in-game transactions, decentralized asset ownership, and monetization of experiences. Somnium Space CUBEs (CUBE) was created by Somnium Space Ltd., a company founded by Artur Sychov, who serves as the Founder & CEO. Sychov has extensive experience in finance and technology, having worked in these industries since 2004. He began his career as a Stock Broker at Afin Brokers a.s. in 2004. In 2007, he joined Citigroup as a Foreign Exchange/Bourse Game Trader and also worked at EP ENERGY TRADING, a.s. as an Electricity Trader. From 2009 to 2014, he was an Electricity Trader for South & Eastern Europe at E.ON. In 2014, he founded and became CEO of EASYCHARGE.me GmbH, a company focused on electric vehicle charging solutions. In 2017, he founded Somnium Space, aiming to create a decentralized, persistent VR world. In 2020, he also founded Authencity, another blockchain-focused project. Sychov holds a degree in Investment Banking (Ing) from the University of Finance and Administration, Prague (2002–2008) and an MBA in Financial Management from the City University of Seattle (2005–2007). His background in finance, trading, and technology played a key role in shaping the vision of Somnium Space, integrating blockchain to enable digital ownership and a decentralized metaverse.
