About Aave

AAVE is a decentralized finance protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain that enables users to borrow and lend digital assets in the form of flash loans, while also providing users with a yield-generating market to earn interest from their crypto holdings. AAVE is secured by a collateral model and features a token staking model, allowing users to stake their tokens to earn rewards. The protocol is designed to be permissionless, trustless, and secure, providing users with a secure and transparent way to access DeFi services. AAVE (AAVE) token was created by Stani Kulechov and the Aave team in 2017.
Aave (LEND) was upgraded to Aave (AAVE) in 2020 in order to improve the features and capabilities of the Aave DeFi Protocol. The migration from LEND to AAVE enabled the protocol to offer new features, such as flash loans, yield-generating markets, and token staking rewards. It also provided an improved governance system, allowing users to propose and vote on protocol changes. The migration was completed in November 2020, enabling users to access the upgraded features of the Aave DeFi Protocol.
AAVE (AAVE) token was created by Stani Kulechov and the Aave team in 2017. Stani is a FinTech entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Aave. The team is comprised of blockchain and finance experts who are dedicated to building an open, permissionless, and secure protocol for DeFi services.

Tether Gold (XAUT) is the native gold-backed token issued by TG Commodities (Tether's gold subsidiary), with each token representing one troy ounce of physical London Good Delivery gold bullion stored in Swiss vaults, deployed as an ERC-20 and TRC-20 on Ethereum and TRON. XAUT market capitalization crossed $3.3 billion in Q1 2026 backed by 707,747 troy ounces, up 36% quarter-over-quarter from 520,089 ounces at the end of 2025. The token controls over half of the tokenized gold market with PAX Gold as its nearest competitor at $2.2 billion. XAUT trades around $4,670 per token, tracking spot gold rather than maintaining a dollar peg. Tether's total physical gold holdings including USDT reserves reached approximately $20 billion at quarter-end.
