Holding $VITE tokens grants users voting rights, scaled proportionally to their token count, allowing them to elect proxy nodes within snapshot consensus groups responsible for verifying transactions. In certain scenarios, Vite tokens are "burned" and removed from the system, serving as a method to curtail liquidity and counteract inflation.
