Parcl

Parcl offers users a way to engage in real estate investment by trading on the price trends of specific city markets, without the complexities of actual property ownership. Through Parcl, users can take either long or short positions based on their outlook on various real estate markets, giving them flexibility to respond to market dynamics in specific cities.

The platform’s PRCL token is central to this ecosystem, providing multiple functions. Token holders gain governance rights, enabling them to participate in decision-making processes about platform upgrades and future features. The token also gives access to Parcl Labs’ high-quality, institutional-grade real estate data, and users can stake PRCL to earn rewards or incentives for their participation in the network.

Parcl was founded by Trevor Bacon, who serves as the CEO, alongside Kellan Grenier (COO), David Josephs (Lead Blockchain Engineer), and Tom Bonanni (Lead Front-End Engineer). The team combines extensive experience in finance, blockchain, and technology:

Trevor Bacon: CEO and Founder, Trevor previously managed portfolios at hedge funds with a focus on technology, including software, payments, and internet sectors. His career in finance began as a VP at Barclays, and he was initially trained at Lazard. His experience with payments introduced him to blockchain, inspiring his shift to the cryptocurrency sector.

Kellan Grenier: COO and Co-Founder, Kellan has eight years of experience as an investment analyst in traditional finance (TradFi), specialising in Long/Short TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) at a hedge fund. He has also worked at a global investment bank and spent over five years in the crypto space, analysing and investing in Web3 projects and tokens.

David Josephs: Lead Blockchain Engineer, David studied finance at Emory University but transitioned into the tech industry as a blockchain engineer, working on blockchain projects worldwide. Outside of engineering, he is an avid Marvel fan and a coder, with a running joke about his record against the Rust compiler standing at 0–1e9.

Tom Bonanni: Lead Front-End Engineer, Tom designed Parcl’s user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for its decentralised application (dApp) and developed the associated SDK for React. He is an experienced full-stack engineer, previously co-founding Afito, a college housing rental platform, and has a deep interest in new technologies and decentralised applications.
