About Lynx
Lynx is an HPoW cryptocurrency based on the Scrypt algorithm. In order to create a cryptocurrency network that can run on energy efficient, easy to set-up, low-cost computers or cloud services, Lynx developed Hybrid Proof of Work (HPoW). Lynx HPoW still uses PoW but modifies it so it isn’t profitable and, as a result, creates a global solutions and maintaining a small carbon footprint instead of encouraging high-volume mining rigs.
Although 'LYNX' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Lynx Token's smart contract, it is also in use by another asset with a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. To avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'LYNXCOIN' has been adopted for this token. This designation ensures that assets are distinctly identified.
