Growcoin is a free open source project derived from Bitcoin, with the goal of providing a long-term energy-efficient scrypt-based crypto-currency. Built on the foundation of Bitcoin, PPCoin and Growcoin, innovations such as proof-of-stake help further advance the field of crypto-currency.
Although 'GROW' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the GrownCoin Token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'GROWNCOIN' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
