BAT.e is used within the Avalanche ecosystem, primarily to participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and other blockchain activities. The token can be transferred back to the Ethereum network via the bridge, where it can be unwrapped into the original BAT token.
The transition of BAT to the Avalanche network, resulting in BAT.e, was enabled by the Avalanche Bridge, developed by Ava Labs. This bridge utilizes advanced technology to ensure the secure and efficient transfer of assets across blockchains, managed by a consortium known as Wardens who maintain the bridge’s security and operational standards.
