About Aethir

Aethir (ATH) is a decentralised cloud compute platform enabling on-demand, scalable access to GPU resources for AI, gaming, and virtual applications. Through its $ATH token, Aethir incentivises resource sharing, utilising blockchain for tracking and transparency. Founded by Daniel Wang and Mark Rydon, Aethir aims to close the accessibility gap in high-performance computing, supporting industries reliant on intensive compute power.

Aethir serves multiple industries by providing decentralised, scalable compute resources:

AI Model Training and Inferencing: The platform supports high-demand AI applications requiring large compute capacities for training and inferencing. By aggregating GPUs, it enables AI companies, researchers, and developers to process data-intensive AI workloads affordably and with low latency.

Cloud Gaming: Aethir’s low-latency compute network is designed to support real-time rendering for cloud gaming. This allows users to play resource-intensive games across devices without needing high-end hardware, expanding gaming accessibility.

Virtualised Computing: Through its decentralised structure, Aethir can support other compute-intensive applications such as cloud phones and AI productisation, enhancing device performance by offloading resource-intensive tasks to the cloud.

Blockchain-Based Incentives and Consumption Tracking: Blockchain technology powers the platform’s token-based reward and tracking system, providing transparency and real-time payments. Resource owners earn $ATH tokens for their contributions, while consumption is monitored via blockchain to ensure fair rewards.

Aethir was co-founded by Daniel Wang, who also serves as CEO, and Mark Rydon. The founders aimed to address the accessibility gap in compute resources driven by AI advancements, especially as demand for GPU computing escalates in AI and gaming sectors. The project’s decentralised model responds to the challenges of centralised cloud computing, such as high costs and limited access to advanced hardware, by providing a more inclusive, globally distributed compute network.

Three Ways Cronos Fits Into a 2026 Portfolio

The majority of CRO buyers today aren't purchasing as a contrarian. Most are buying a token pegged to the success of one company. There's nothing wrong with that, per se. However, it does require a different set of portfolio guardrails than what most people use with BTC or ETH. At $0.077, CRO is a long way from ATH. The question isn't "Should you buy CRO?" The question is "How does that token stack up to dozens of other options fighting for the same percentage point in your portfolio?"
