APTESG is the utility token of the AppleTree ecosystem. It is used to incentivise ESG-aligned behaviour, facilitate certification payments and support participation in the system. Functions of APTESG include:

• Certification: Companies pay ESG certification fees in APTESG and receive token rewards when approved. - Corporate rewards: ESG-certified businesses are eligible for annual treasury-based distributions and bonus incentives. - Staking and liquidity participation: Users who stake APTESG or provide liquidity to the network can claim rewards based on their level of participation and duration of commitment. - Governance transition: APTESG is designed to play a role in future decentralised governance, where holders will vote on proposals, treasury allocation and ecosystem changes.
