ANY Litecoin (ANYLTC) is a wrapped version of Litecoin, enabling cross-chain functionality within the Multichain protocol. It facilitates interaction with various blockchain ecosystems where LTC is not natively supported. ANYLTC was originally created by Anyswap, which later became Multichain.
ANYLTC is used primarily for cross-chain interactions. Through Multichain’s bridging system, it enables Litecoin holders to interact with decentralised applications (DApps) on Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and other compatible blockchains. This cross-chain utility opens up DeFi opportunities, such as participating in liquidity pools and decentralised exchanges, where Litecoin would otherwise not be supported. ANYLTC also allows users to transfer LTC liquidity across different ecosystems, enabling broader utility for Litecoin holders.
ANY Litecoin was created by the Anyswap platform, which was established in July 2020. Anyswap later rebranded to Multichain in December 2021, expanding its focus on cross-chain interoperability. The rebranding also introduced the "MULTI" token to replace the original "ANY" token. Multichain continues to provide cross-chain services, supporting a wide array of blockchain networks and assets, including ANYLTC.
