ALMANAK serves multiple roles in the Almanak ecosystem:

• Incentives: It rewards curators who design and deploy high-performing strategies and liquidity providers who allocate capital to those vaults. Rewards are based on returns and capital efficiency.

• Governance: Token holders can stake ALMANAK to gain veTokens, which grant voting rights on emission schedules, treasury distribution, and protocol parameters.

• Emission steering: External protocols can stake tokens to vote for emissions to be directed to specific vaults that interact with their smart contracts. This mechanism is based on a bribe model used to attract agent-driven activity.

• Platform access: Stakers receive discounts on the computing infrastructure required to run AI Agents. Staking is also required to launch or manage vaults, creating a commitment model for curators.
