About Alliance Games
COA is the native token of Alliance Games, a decentralised infrastructure for multiplayer sessions that allocates computing only when games are active. COA is used to pay for hosting with optional on-token discounts, to stake by node operators to qualify for running sessions and earn performance-based rewards, to delegate stake so holders can share rewards without operating hardware, and to participate in governance that sets network parameters and operational policies. These roles tie COA directly to resource allocation, service payments and decision-making across the platform’s permissionless node network.
COA is the platform’s native token. Its stated roles include:
- Payments: pay for hosting and related services, with optional discounts when paying in COA
- Node staking: operators stake COA to become eligible to host sessions and earn performance-based rewards
- Delegation: holders can delegate stake to operators and share rewards
- Governance: vote on network parameters and operational policies
Alliance Games was founded by Simon Sorgenfrei and Dennis Kirsch. Both previously co-created Chain of Alliance, a blockchain game on the Chromia ecosystem. Their background combines game development and on-chain game infrastructure, and they are publicly identified as co-founders of Alliance Games and the COA token initiative.
