One of our team traditions is weekly Gong call reviews. One person will bring a Gong call to our whole team, and we will listen to it and offer feedback in a constructive manner. Oftentimes, a rep will bring a good call where they booked a meeting, but I think it's more fun and you learn more from the calls where the rep doesn't book a meeting.

I think this tradition helps people stay motivated because they see their peers doing a great job and they want to do the same. A competitive culture can be a very good thing as long as there is healthy competition. This tradition also shows reps that everybody makes mistakes and falls on their face sometimes.

The thing that separates a regular rep from a great rep is the ability to not fear rejection or failure and the resilience to move on and learn from your mistakes.

A strong team culture makes me feel more connected to my day-to-day work because it makes me truly care about all of the people I work with. I believe that in order to be an effective manager, you have to truly understand the people you are working with to get the best out of them.

I also think it's important to realize that a strong team culture also means that you are preparing the people you work with for whatever the next role is for them. Having that mindset definitely makes me feel more connected to my day-to-day work because I can see the positive outcomes that have already happened within my team with promotions.

Seeing something positive happen for one of my reps shows me and the team as a whole that if you put in the work and commit yourself, a lot of great opportunities can come your way.

Modern software engineering moves quickly — sometimes, too quickly. With so much information available, staying on top of it is both an advantage and a challenge. I feel this, too.

My approach is to focus on hands-on, targeted learning, using real problems as opportunities to deepen my understanding. Watching the road from the passenger seat doesn't cut it; I take the driver's seat when coding solutions, reinforcing concepts through direct experience.

Just as important is managing complexity across different levels of abstraction — knowing when to zoom in on the details and when to step back to see the bigger picture. More often than not, code is still the answer.

For me, keeping my engineering skills sharp comes down to the simple joy of building software and solving problems. I learn best by getting my hands dirty — digging into API documentation, experimenting with code, pulling my hair out when errors crop up, joyfully seeing the code build and run, writing my own notes, and repeating the process.

Searching effectively is just as important, whether it's debugging an issue or learning from open-source libraries. I often skim changelogs, browse GitHub issues and discussions, and chat with AI models to explore different perspectives. And when something doesn't add up, I don't mind diving into an open-source library's internals to figure it out myself.

At Sisense, my engineering team is fortunate to work with cutting-edge technologies, building open-source developer tools for embedded analytics. This creates numerous opportunities for growth and learning. We prioritize keeping our libraries up-to-date, secure and developer-friendly, which drives us to continuously improve our code and processes.

What I appreciate most is our disruptor mindset — constantly questioning, experimenting and pushing boundaries. This approach, paired with open collaboration, keeps us ahead of trends and fosters continuous growth. I also learn a lot from my talented colleagues.

Through code reviews, design discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, I get to see different approaches and perspectives. These interactions are invaluable in helping me improve and expand how I approach problems.

Coming from a large company, joining Sisense has been a great opportunity to broaden my experience. Over time, I transitioned to focus on driving product strategy and growth. My extensive experience spans from small startups to large-scale enterprises, and I have an entrepreneurial background, having built a company in the fashion-tech industry.

I joined Sisense to advance the company's vision and strategy and to establish a product and engineering group capable of executing this strategy effectively.

One of the initiatives I'm most excited to tackle is the development of our AI-powered analytics platform. This aims to accelerate innovation for companies worldwide by providing an analytics platform that helps them embed data experiences into their products more efficiently than ever before.

This platform is particularly exciting for several reasons. It enables companies to harness their data to drive product innovation, adoption and new business models by lowering the barrier to developing data-first experiences in products and applications.

It leverages state-of-the-art generative AI technologies to empower developers and application builders to automatically create data models, semantic layers and custom analytical experiences with minimal need for extensive "build-it-yourself" capabilities. This platform also allows our customers to offer much more personalized data experiences to their end users, bringing insights into the flow of work for any type of user.

The impact will be profound. Our customers will get unparalleled capabilities, lower total cost of ownership and accelerated time to market for their innovations. For our company, the platform will open market and growth opportunities.

Coming from a smaller company, Sisense gave me the opportunity to work with a number of different tools and applications that I previously never had exposure to. My manager trusted me with projects that reached different areas of the business which allowed me to showcase what I'm truly capable of.
